Girly card

I made this card after seeing this design in the Silhouette store.  I love how delicate the butterflies are.

I added a layer of vellum on top and put glitter on the edges of the wings.  I also added pearls for the bodies.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot tiny tags.

Card for Danny

I was reading a post online and saw a request from a boy named Danny Nickerson.  He's a little boy with inoperable brain cancer.  His birthday is July 25 and all he wants is a box of cards from all over.  I read he liked Mario, so I made him a Mario card.

I embossed with a clouds folder.  Put Mario on an Action Wobble and attached a tag with a sentiment from My Craft Spot tiny tags onto the Mushroom.  I stamped a face from PK on the little Mushroom too.   I put the tube on pop dots so the tag can slide inside it.

If you're interested in sending a card to Danny it's Danny Nickerson/P.O. Box 212/Foxboro,MA 02035.  I verified it's a true posting through Snopes.com.

Lucy block

This is a gift I made for my sisters birthday.  She is a huge Lucy fan and even has a Lucy room at her home.

It's not the best picture, but I think it turned out great.  The Lucy image is from dafonts called Famous Folks.  The heart is a basic shape, I think from Silhouette and I traced the I Love Lucy.  I added some pretty red ribbon with white polka dots.

Baby card

My first grandson is on the way and will be arriving this Spring (due March 28)  My daughter had her first baby shower, so I made this card for it.

This is the front.  I used my Gypsy to weld this, but it kept cutting weird, I don't think my Gypsy welds correctly anymore, oh well, luckily there is the Cricut Craft Room.  I took my cuts to it and welded the letters to various sized squares to make it a layered card.

The pooh characters and the letters are all cut from the Disney Pooh Font Set  the airplane on all the pages is from the Boys Will be Boys and the beach balls are from Life is a Beach.  The balloons that Eeyore is holding are from Create a Critter.  I really like how this turned out!

Halloween Coasters

I saw a tutorial on Joys Life on how to make little coasters.  So I decided to try.  I've only done a little bit of vinyl in the past, but I love how these turn out!  Joy didn't show putting any coating on it.  I did add some Triple Thick Glaze to seal it.  The cuts are from various cuts that I have found.

I think they turned out great, and I will be making more of them!

Sympathy cards are something we all need, but they are very hard to make.  I never know how to get started.  For this one I used Spellbinders to cut the layers, then embossed them.  I stamped the middle layer with a flower from Peachy Keen SOTM and added a trail of pearls.  The sentiment from My Craft Spot is stamped and embossed

3D Project

I usually only make cards and layouts, 3D projects are a little out of my comfort zone.  But when I saw the Challenge this week, I decided to try it.  Some of my friends have a doggy day care and sometimes my dog goes and visits.  I was thinking what a cute idea it would be to make a Survival kit.  I used the PK SOTM from last month for all of the cute doggy cuts and stamps.  The box is from Cricut TBBM 2.

Santa Box

For my Christmas is July, I decided to make a little Santa Box.  I made the box to look like a chimney and cut a slit in the top and have Santa half in the chimney.  I thought this would make a cute decoration for work

The button and the red in the ribbon is all glittery

I used Simply Charmed for the Santa, Tim Holtz embossing folder for the bricks on the chimney-I also added some black ink to make it look more like bricks.
