You are my sunshine frame

I took an old clearance frame from Target (99 cents) and painted it a light blue.   I cut a sun from Mickey and Friends, the cat is from Cindy Loo and the letters are from Winnie the Pooh-font set.  The clouds are cut from the Create a Critter and embossed with divine swirls.  I added some little roses I got on clearance from Michaels.  My cat was always such a bright spot in my life.  She definately was my sunshine!

I am entering this in the Peachy Keen 3-D weather project and the Paper Playtime - Pets and sentiments.

Lumberjack Birthday Shaped Card

My Craft Spot
This weeks Challenge:  Birthday Shape cards!
(Make a birthday shape card that is anything but a square, circle or rectangle!)

My nephew is having his 2nd birthday, and it's a lumberjack theme party.  So I made his card in the shape of a lumberjack.
For this card, I used my Gypsy and welded a Paper Doll character to the log from Winnie the Pooh.  I then cut another person and log layer to cover the folds.  I put flock on the beard and hair so it would look more like real hair,  I used PK for the cute little face.

I think it turned out so cute.

Peachy Keen Challenge

I'm trying to participate in at least one challenge a week.  So far, I've been real good about it.  This week I am again joining the fun in the Peachy Keen Challenge.

THE CHALLENGE
We want you card-makers to show us your SKILLZ! This week, create a card using theme providedFRIENDSHIP!

This is a cute little card I put together using Create a Critter.  Cause we all know how well cats and dogs get along!  I used PK faces.  I think they are so cute.  I put a little glitter glue on the dogs bows and some glossy accents on the eyes.  The sentiment is from a misc stamp set.

Salad Bowl note cards

Peach Keen Challenge this week is a picture challenge of a bunch of fruit.  I decided to make a set of note cards in the shape of fruit.  I set my Gypsy at 4" for all the fruit.
Each of the pieces of fruit is a quick little note card:

Then I made little matching envelopes

The envelopes fit in a little pocket in the back of the bowl.
The cards were all cut using the Preserves cart, the bowl was A Childs Year and the envelopes were cut from Plantin Schoolbook.

Valentiny card

A card is a tiny Valentine (measuring 3x3).  This was sure fun, but hard to make so small.  I used my Mickey and Friends to cut a 3" Mickey mouse.  I used my Gypsy to cut a heart in the base of the card.  I stamped "Be Mine" on the inside and embossed it.

Repurposed Box

For this challenge I needed to use something old that I have had and not used.  I saved this box from candy that we received last Christmas.  I thought it might come in handy.  I keep a candy dish at my desk for all to use.  I do go through alot of candy.  Everyone kept telling me to put a jar for people to put money in, so I thought I would use this box for that purpose.

I covered the box with paper, a print on the sides and a solid on top.  I added some lace around the sides (also old) then put "Candy $tips & tips?"  I put a slot in the tlop and a flower.

I am submitting this to Whisical Wednesday-Bring out the Old and Die Cuttin Divas-Anything goes

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #3

This weeks challenge is to do any project using a toilet paper roll.  I have never made any project using TP rolls so this is a great challenge for me.

I decided the tp roll looks like a tree, so that's what I made.  I covered the roll with brown paper that I had embossed.  Then I cut out 3 cuts of the layer for the Winnie the Pooh tree.
Then I cut out a heart from George, a squirrel from Create a Critter and an arrow from Indie Art.  The butterflies are from a MS punch.  I stamped the tree with PK Wide Eyed Kids.
